Here is my first entry. I knew I wanted to do some fall sewing, and I knew I wanted it to be everyday wear. Danielle from Whimsical Fabric sent me this yummy Art Gallery knit from the curiosities line, Firefly Jar-Dark. It was PERFECT to sew up this sweet little number from E+M Patterns. Grace still loves to twirl, but she is starting to drift towards more practical, everyday wear. [Sniff, sniff.] I love how this turned out!! For just a little bit of contrast, I used some yummy Pure Knit, Peachy Custard on the neck binding.
Let me just tell you about this knit really quick. It is sooo dreamy. If you haven’t bit the bullet yet and sewed with Art Gallery knits, then you need to. It is so wonderful to work with, I just love it. Quality knits.
Grace loves how this turned out, and has been dying to wear it every since it came off the sewing machine. Unfortunately, we are having a blazing hot streak here so it’s gonna have to wait just a little bit longer.
